Frequently Asked Questions for Job Seekers

What can Travel Placement Service do for me that I can't do for myself?
TPS is the most respected in the country for placing experienced travel and meeting planning personnel with exciting travel agency entities and meeting event planners. Travel Placement Service has developed our stellar reputation and success rate thanks to more than 19 years of developing ongoing relationships with travel industry and meeting planning leaders and giants. We began first in Southern California, expanded into the Western States, and now have begun to competently handle travel agency placements in agencies and corporations in all parts of the country.

We have connections with all of the major travel companies and can get you "THE interview” with forces you previously struggled with to even get a toe in the door.  The staff at TPS is wholly made up of former travel professionals, and our expertise qualifies us to understand what you’ve done, the technology you have under your belt (Sabre, Travel Placement, Amadeus, etc), and where you intend to be heading.

Does Travel Placement Service place only travel agents?
No. We place employees in all types of travel industry jobs, including corporate, entertainment, leisure, cruise, group, training, management, accounting, incentive, wholesale, and more!

Does it cost me anything to use your services?
No. TPS is entirely employer retained. We sell you and your talent to prospective employers.

Why would the employer pay you when I can go to them for nothing?
Large, reputable companies receive thousands of resumes per day. Often, they don't have the time to go through all of them. They retain us to save them time and money. These companies understand that we are experienced in the travel industry and have already reviewed resumes and held interviews; we know what they are looking for.

Does Travel Placement Service only do temporary placement?
No. We have about a 50/50 split. We have employers who want both, so we give you the option of doing temporary or permanent placement.

With so many jobs available, why would someone want to do temporary work?
There are many reasons why people chose temporary work. The most common is flexibility. Also, it gives the employees the opportunity to try out various companies. Another advantage of doing temporary work is getting your foot in the door. Many times, an employee's resume does not meet the requirements for a permanent position in a company. Temporary assignments provide the opportunity to prove to an employer that you can do the job.
